Unauthorized use or reproduction is prohibited, with the sole exception of reposting in Facebook (please copy and paste this copyright notice with it).www.PhotosFromTheHarty.com ı Photos from the Harty Ethan was born into a mixed football family: New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints.  His mother was born and raised in Massachusetts; his father was born in Montgomery County, Maryland, but became a Saints fan (for the sake of the Redskins fans out there, I won't say why). :)

While the Saints and the Patriots aren't natural rivals, it's safe to say that there is certainly a humorous family rivalry in their house!  When Ethan was born, both parents, as well as the new baby boy's grandparents, aunts, and uncles immediately began competing to raise him with their personal allegiances.  I've never seen a child with a larger variety of sports team paraphernalia!  Might I add: this does not end at football; baseball, hockey, basketball - you name it, his family is on different sides!  And, they looooooove to jokingly give each other the business about their respective teams.  It is very funny to watch!

Knowing this, as soon as the little man was born, I suggested that we use sports jerseys and whatnot in this simple in-home newborn session.  It was a ton of fun and totally fueled the rivalry silliness!  It still makes me laugh when I think about it! 

Back to Ethan, he is just so tiny and adorable; I love this little munchkin!  He was so serious and looked like a crotchety old man throughout the shoot!  I swear he knew that his photo was being taken, even in his sleep, and was NOT happy about it!  He melts my heart every time I see him.  Here are a few highlights from the session.  Enjoy!
