Surprise Proposal and Engagement Session at the Tidal BasinSurprise ProposalWashington, DCThis was a first for me. I was asked by John to secretly photograph his proposal at the Jefferson Memorial. He was coming in from Ohio and wanted to propose at a spot that is often featured in movies, since it would be special every time they saw it on the big screen. We'd never met, which certainly complicated things. I'm always up for a challenge, though, so I scoped out a spot where I knew I could catch the proposal and waited. All I knew was that John was wearing grey pants. Thankfully, I was able to immediately identify him and capture the proposal without spoiling the surprise for his bride-to-be! Immediately afterward, we shot their engagement photos. The day was super exciting for all of us! I couldnt have been happier to be a part of such a special day! Comments
