It's been a VERY rainy summer.  It was the wettest June in record, in fact.  If you grew up in this general area, you probably remember having water restrictions almost every summer.  We were only allowed to wash cars on certain days of the week, neighbors were asked to report anyone who was watering their lawns outside of the designated days... So, it hasn't really felt like summer yet.  Is anyone else shocked that it's already JULY?! How did that happen?!

We weren't surprised when it started raining just before this surprise proposal, but we were kind of disappointed. We'd been hoping all day that the forecasters were incorrect and that we'd have a beautiful sunset.  We weren't that lucky, though.  We were lucky enough to be part of this super sweet surprise proposal - and, of course, she said yes!

Since these two lovebirds met at Georgetown University, it worked out well that they were carrying the umbrella with their alma mater's insignia.  We did get a slight break in the rain just before we finished shooting, which was nice.
