We began photographing weddings in 2005.  Over the years, the Photos from the Harty team has seen a wide variety of weddings - from bikers coming down the aisle on motorcycles to traditional weddings where the groom was inadvertently locked out of the ceremony room.  They are all special for so many different reasons and even when things don't run as planned, they are still perfect for one reason: love.

We've photographed many same-sex weddings and celebrations over the years.  This year, we had more same-sex couples than in all past years combined.  Some of the couples have been together for 20 years.  Some live in different countries, giving the term "long-distance" a new meaning.  Some couples have children - together, from previous marriages, or taken in when a friend passed away.  Often, they travel from all over the country (in some cases, world) to have their union legally recognized.  

We believe that love is for everyone; we believe marriage is for everyone.  While we have incorporated same-sex couples in all of our galleries, it's important to us that all couples should be able to find what they are looking for easily.  For this reason, we've decided to add a tab for same-sex weddings.
