Say I Do Wedding Expo{pollyanna events & photos from the harty}Say I Do LGBT Wedding ExpoPhotos from the Harty teamed up with Pollyanna Events, wedding and event coordinators based in the DC metro area, for the Say I Do LGBT Wedding Expo. For both Pollyanna Events and Photos from the Harty, this was a first; neither of us had done a wedding expo before and we weren't really sure what to expect. We decided to reserve a table together, thinking that working as a team would be mutually beneficial. We started the planning process by drafting a booth that would highlight both photography and wedding coordination. After a few hours, we'd come up with a sketch, a list, and a plan. Brainstorming We spent a few weeks planning, shopping, putting things together, and sending lots of texts like these: Picture Texts We quickly realized that Sarah and I make a great team. Everything seemed to fall into place! Our ideas morphed as we went. I found these sticks outside and we decided to drape the bistro lights between them to create an "outdoor wedding" table for our booth. We decided to use some of the custom wine glasses and champagne flutes that I've designed for Gifts from the Harty (available on Etsy). ©Sara Alepin (Photos from the Harty). The set-up of our space was not quite what we planned, but we landed on our feet and ran with what we had; I think our tables - yes, tableS - came out great! Plus, our location was awesome! In retrospect, I'm not sure our original plan to setup on one table would have worked (see below). ©Sara Alepin (Photos from the Harty).
