First, I have to admit that I adore Shelli, the owner of Capital Society.  She's just a blast to be around.  She makes me laugh, inspires me, and has such a great heart.  

That being said, I LOVE the Capital Society designs!  I want to buy everything in the Capital Society store on Etsy.  Seriously.  Check out some of these photos - or their store - and you'll see why!  

But, back to our holiday crafting day...

In my family, we have a tradition where we give out loved ones special ornaments for their trees every year.  I gave Shelli a pickle ornament.  Even though I actually hate pickles, I love this tradition!  You hide the pickle on the Christmas tree.  On December 25th, the children (or adults, in this case lol) have to find the pickle before they're able to open any of the gifts.  Whoever finds the pickle will have good luck all year - and gets to open the first gift!  Rather than running down the stairs to tear open gifts, it allows the children appreciate the ornaments on the tree.
