Amanda + Megan's Holiday-Themed Wedding ı Whittemore House ı Washington, DC

{right from the start}

From the day that Megan and Amanda met, they knew that they would be married. They were just the perfect fit! Both of these special ladies had children who became fast friends. After a few months, they decided to set a wedding date and make a two-hour move so they could be together always and forever.

Surprisingly, October and November were crazy busy for the Photos from the Harty team. We had tons of events and weddings - which is atypical for those months. Emails had started to stack up as we were forced to prioritize editing and turning around photographs; this is never an ideal situation and, luckily, does not happen often. Megan was positive she wanted us to be there on her special day, so she hung on and stuck with us. Thank goodness she did because we had a wonderful time meeting these special ladies and celebrating with them!

Some couples fight the holidays when they get married in December; these ladies totally embraced it. It was refreshing! They surrounded themselves with soft lights and holiday icons while they said their vows in the library at the Whittemore House in Dupont Circle, Washington, DC. Their vows were personal and we couldn't help but tear up as they read the words to one another. It was sweet and intimate.

We couldn't be happier for these lovely ladies! Here's to a lifetime of happiness, Megan and Amanda!
