Amanda's Maternity Photo Shoot at the National Portrait Gallery
What do you do when the weather is awful, but you have a photoshoot scheduled? Well luckily, we live in the best city ever. And, maybe that’s just an over-confident comment on our behalf, but we mean seriously — what other city has gorgeous indoor locations comparable to ours? (Probably lots, but we choose not to believe it.) This time around, we popped into the National Portrait Gallery’s atrium and had so much fun photographing this stunningly beautiful, glowing mommy-to-be.
Amanda is such an upbeat and cheerful person. Katie knew her before this shoot, and has gotten to experience her super fun personality; Amanda dresses up as princesses and teaches children to dance. It's so sweet and she's totally adorable! Needless to say, when we found out that this bubbly lady was going to be a mom, we were thrilled for her! She's just made to be enrich the lives of children, so being a mom is right in her wheelhouse.
Because Amanda decided to keep the name secret throughout her pregnancy, all of her friends and family referred to the little guy as “Jellybean". (Really, how could this possibly be more sweet?! - ba-boom-ching! lol)
Lucky for all of us, Eros decided to make an appearance a few weeks ago - and although we know his name now, he will always be “Jellybean” to us. =]
Cheers to Amanda and her little man; we know that Eros will have the coolest mommy ever! We are super excited to watch this little man grow into the amazing man we know he will be!

Photos from the Harty, a team of lifestyle, wedding, and event photographers, was founded by Sara (Hartenstine) Alepin in 2005 after she graduated with a BA in Art Studio & Education and began working on her MFA in Photography & Digital Imaging. After years of working together, Katie Lingan officially joined the team as lead photographer in 2013.
Over the years, we've learned a lot from capturing - and being a part of - all types of special moments, especially weddings. One thing that has really stuck with us: it's not only important that you love our images - you must also love your photographer. You will spend more time with us on your wedding day than anyone else. So, it's important that you enjoy being around us on your big day!
So, keep reading to get to know us better. If you like what you read and like what you see, please reach out to us. We look forward to meeting you!
